Description

Publishing company founded by the Junta de Cultura Española, depending on the Spanish Republican Government in exile. José Bergamín was appointed director. It published a total number of sixty-nine titles, most of them of Spanish authors in exile: Juan Larrea, José María Quiroga Pla, Paulino Masip, Emilio Prados, José Herrera Petere, José Bergamín, José Manuel Gallegos Rocafull, Rafael Alberti, Julio Álvarez del Vayo, Luis Cernuda, Josep Carner, David García Bacca, José María Gallegos Rocafull and Pedro Salinas. It is specially imnportant the first edition of Federico García Lorca's Poeta en Nueva York.
