Flew to Perpignan, en route for a meeting of the International Society for Contemporary Music to be celebrated in Warsaw. Forced to remain in France and unable to return to Barcelona, as it had been recently taken by Franco's forces. Developed the composition of Soirées de Barcelone, where he introduced Els Segadors, Catalonia's national anthem.
