Subtitled 'aguafuerte en un prólogo y un acto' [etching in a prologue and one act], the play is set in the Prado museum during the siege of Madrid in 1936. The sound of bombing and gunfire brings to life characters from the War of Independence, as painted by Goya in Los fusilamientos del 3 de Mayo. Each character fights and dies as they did in their own war.
